The mission of Project GRAD Atlanta is to collaborate with the Atlanta Public Schools in order to increase the number of students graduating from high school and college. Project GRAD Atlanta provides critical academic, behavioral, social services, and college access interventions for traditionally-underserved populations of students from economically-disadvantaged communities attending the Atlanta Public Schools.
Project GRAD Atlanta has successfully impacted high school graduation rates by helping students and their families understand that college is attainable. As a result of GRAD’s proliferation of a college-bound culture, more than 1,750 Brumley-GRAD Scholarship recipients have earned the opportunity to attend two-year and four-year colleges across the country. Project GRAD Atlanta is proud to be a scholarship granting nonprofit organization. Project GRAD Atlanta has awarded over $1.5 million in scholarships to date.
Congratulations to the Class of 2011

Education Could Do More to Help State Better Define Graduation Rates and Improve Knowledge about Intervention. "About a third of students entering high school do not graduate and face limited job prospects. The No Child Left Behind Act requires states to use graduation rates to measure how well students are educated. . . We identified five interventions that had been rigorously evaluated and showed potential for improving graduation rates. . . Project GRAD, a comprehensive kindergarten to 12 reform program, demonstrated some promise in improving test scores and graduation rates." For the full report, Read More.
